About Us

1948

Lau Choy Seng, 刘再成” was established on 10 October, 1948 by Mr. Lau Chew Tat, with a vision of to be successful as it spells in the Chinese characters. 

Mr. Lau Chew Tat started the business for wooden clog making in a small shop along Temple Street, Singapore.

1960s
Shop relocated to 38 Temple Street, and continue its business. Mr. Lau Swee Hong, son of Mr. Lau Chew Tat joined the company at the 1960s.
1970s

In view of the potential in Food & Beverages Industry, the business started to divert. Lau Choy Seng ventured into kitchenware supply and mainly focused at Chinese Kitchenware.

Lau Choy Seng began to self-import kitchenware from Hong Kong by the late of 70s in order to provide quality products at competitive price to the growing client's profile.

1990

Lau Choy Seng expand again and rented a new warehouse at 20 Penjuru Road, 8,000 sqft. Lau Choy Seng has experienced many changes over the last few decades. 

Due to the flexibility in strategies, it encourages steady growth in business.

1993

Lau Choy Seng relocated the retail outlet to 23 & 25 Temple Street that occupies two units of retail shop lots. A wider range of Chinese Kitchen Equipment added to the company's profile. Lau Choy Seng operates only with 1 van for delivery and 2 staffs. 

As year continues client base grow even stronger, Lau Choy Seng move towards to supply and service from hotel to chain restaurants, from caters to institutional facilities and individual F&B outlet to walk in retails.

1999

Due to the demands in F&B industry, Lau Choy Seng further expanded the warehouse from 8,000 to 20,000 sqft located at 86, Tuas Avenue 11. 

This is to ensure that Lau Choy Seng being able to cater for the needs from it’s rescpective clienteles.

2000s

Lau Choy Seng continues to seek for opportunity, by the year of 2006 we’ve made remarkable progress- first established project internationally with Holiday Inn Melacca. 

Follow by few local major projects includes St. Regis Singapore, Resorts World & Marina Bay Sands.

2007
Lau Choy Seng further expands the warehouse from 20,000 to 45,000 sqft at 30 Tuas West Ave.
2010
Lau Choy Seng are now direct distributors and stockist for more than 35 brands and have over 20,000 products in our stock list for Tableware, Barware, Cutleries, Chinese, Japanese and Western Kitchenware, Food Service equipment. In addition, we also produce house brand of quality stainless steel pots and pans, Chinese kitchen knives and tools, kitchen equipment, chef coats, uniform and aprons.
2015
Lau Choy Seng established a new branch office & showroom in Malaysia, named LCS Hospitality Solutions Sdn Bhd in order to service the growing clientele better.
